Will it suit your dog?

Step rise matters more than total height. At about 6.25 in per step, the 25 in option suits a dog roughly 25 in or more at the shoulder that moves easily — and around 31 in for a dog that already hesitates on steps. A smaller dog needs a shallower rise, which usually means a lower destination or a ramp rather than taller stairs. The proportions we use are published in the sizing guide.

Use and care

Set the stairs on a level floor flush against the furniture and check stability before letting your dog use them — press down hard on the top step with a flat hand and confirm nothing shifts. Re-check after every move, fold or clean. Vacuum the treads and spot clean as needed.
