The Carbon Airleash is a 5 ft, ultra-light no-pull leash with elastic webbing that absorbs the impact of pulling, an anodized aluminum hook and a soft padded handle for everyday walks.
A leash for the daily walk
A leash that is in your hand twice a day should feel good. The supplier describes this model as its most advanced, built around Flowtex, a proprietary elastic webbing that absorbs the impact of any pulling from your dog. For daily walks, that means a little give when your dog lunges toward a squirrel or a smell.
Features
Length: 5 ft.
Webbing: Flowtex elastic webbing, absorbing the impact of pulling.
Weight: ultra light.
Hook: a super strong anodized aluminum hook.
Handle: soft and padded.
Color: Carbon.
In the daily routine
Morning: clip it on and let the padded handle settle in your hand.
Midday: use the 5 ft length for a relaxed stroll with a little room to sniff.
Evening: shorten your grip when you reach busy areas.
Using an elastic leash
A leash with give helps absorb sudden pulls, but it does not replace training. Stop when your dog pulls, wait for slack and then continue, so your dog learns that a loose leash gets you moving. Check the hook after each walk to see it closes fully.
Checking over time
Look at the webbing for fraying, the handle for wear and the hook for wear. Retire any leash that shows damage.
