The Western Stripes collar comes in a range of neck sizes on 1" nylon webbing — here is how to choose the one that sits comfortably on your dog.
Construction at a glance
- Choose your webbing: the standard 1" heavy nylon is rated at 4,200 lb; where the menus offer it, super heavy nylon is rated at 6,100 lb.
- Buckle: a YKK plastic side-release buckle as standard, with a metal buckle available where the menus list it.
- Leash and tag ring: a welded triangle ring, which the maker prefers to a standard D-ring for strength.
- Stays where you set it: a metal sizing slide (heavy-duty plastic on super heavy webbing) plus a metal keeper to help hold the adjustment.
- Clean, durable finish: heat-cut webbing, treated ribbon and triple box stitching.
- Hang tag included: it arrives ready to hand over as a present.
- Made by a small workshop: Doot's Pet sews each collar by hand in the USA and gives back to homeless pets in its community.
Size chart

How to measure
How to measure: wrap a soft tape around your dog's neck where the collar sits, leaving room to slide two fingers underneath. Choose the size whose range puts that number near the middle, so you can tighten or loosen it later.
A collar that is too loose can slip over the head; one that is too tight rubs. Re-measure growing puppies every few weeks.
Some designs can be ordered with super heavy webbing, metal hardware, a martingale version or a matching 6 ft leash. If an option does not appear in the menus above, it is not available for this collar.
