How to measure
Use a flexible tape and wrap it around your dog's neck where the collar will sit, usually high on the neck, below the ears. Add nothing yet; just note the number. Then slip two fingers under the tape, and add that room to the measurement if you want a comfortable allowance. Compare the result with the size information and choose the closest option.
Pick by dog, not only by weight
Two dogs of the same weight can have very different necks. A fluffy coat can hide the true circumference, and a deep chest does not always mean a wide neck. If your dog is between sizes, consider whether they are still growing, how thick the coat is and how snug you like the fit.
