Getting the right size of no-pull harness takes one measurement and one check: here is how to do both, and what to look for in the fit once it is on.
Measure the chest
Find the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs, and wrap a soft tape around it. Do it while your dog stands naturally. Write the number down and compare it with any sizing information you have for your dog's current gear.
Choose your size
Joey comes in Extra Small, Small, Medium and Large. If your dog is close to a border between two sizes, remember that straps adjust, so fit is not all about one number. Think about body shape too: deep-chested dogs and slim dogs of the same weight may fit differently.
Check the fit
Two fingers: after adjusting, two fingers should slide under each strap.
No slipping: the harness should stay in place when your dog moves, without squeezing.
Free movement: shoulders and legs should swing without the straps getting in the way.
