Fitting a paste into your routine
Pastes suit cats that already enjoy licking. Pick a regular slot, perhaps right before dinner, when your cat is paying attention and you are nearby. A fingertip, a small spoon or the rim of a saucer all work as a serving surface; use the amount the label directs. Doing it at the same time each day helps your cat read it as part of the evening rather than a surprise.
If your cat is hesitant
Some cats want to inspect something unfamiliar first. Put a small dab beside the food bowl and let your cat approach on its own, or stir a little into wet food. Keep sessions short and relaxed, and finish with a bit of attention or a regular meal so the association stays pleasant. Close the package after each use and store it as the label specifies.
